I have been an avid cyclist for almost 20 years but for about the past 5 have been Mountain biking or trail riding whichever you prefer to call it. I love it; there is nothing better than riding through the woods with only the sounds of nature, your bike, breathing, and music. I am lucky to own a couple of really nice bikes which I saved for years to purchase. Mountain biking is very HITT oriented, so it fits right into the modern fitness trends right now. Mountain biking is probably the best workout that you can do because, in my opinion, is scalable to all levels. It also does not beat you up like running does and the caloric demand is also as high if not more in some cases. There is some risk involved, but that is what makes anything more fun so do not be afraid to try something new. I have always been a person to share my knowledge and experience, so this will be my first article on one of the activities that I love and would like to share all of my experiences.
